What a great buy this console is. Great support and sounds absolutely wonderful and pure. I like a little character, so I combine the Audient with some Neve and API mic pre’s with some of my fav compressors, like a Urei 1176LN or SSL FX 384. That’s just enough salt & pepper to make my kind of record.
For 5.1 Surround Sound I use the Audient ASP510 controller
Well Ib4m playing guiatr for a while too. Sure this guy is amazig, saw them live for two times, itb4s even more impressive then! But honestly the drummer is also very damn good. His solo of Moby Dick, played by bare hands. That at an age of 22! Looking forward to hear more from them!!! As soon as possible ^^
I am planning to buy the art tube pemrap, would I need anything else for this to work? The pemrap can take both mike and instruments, so is it simply a case of plugging mike/guitar into pemrap, and then plugging that into the laptop? I will just use audacity to record. Thanks
Yes it is possible, but it will suck. If you are doing any soireus recording, get a real sound card and midi.I use HT Omega sound cards 4 Strikers and one Claro HALO. M-Audio has some more sophisticated cards (although they are not better).Avoid Creative cards like the plague buggy as hell and really bad drivers.I use Ableton and Adobe for most of my stuff, but I have friends that have used these cards with Cakewalk.
I have to thank to myself that I don’t play sioerus the guitar it will be a shame after hearing this oh my GOD, Awesome!!!!!!!! Feeling, energy, sound, tehnic Feel free to shoot me!!! I wanna die three times, reborn 3 times maybe after that I will be able to play a half song like this young man!!!
I really dig this idea and the first three clips work telemndousry well giving the audience some emotions to latch onto through the sounds. But the taps at the end feels a little off to me, especially since it’s a midi based sample. It’s too dry in comparison to the richness of the earlier samples. And I really think that this could make a cool ds106 audio assignment, Sound Effect My Personal Memoir. I’m inspired and going to try it.
my song , just like any song, goes high for the chorus and is low for the verse, which ecfefts the levels when recoding, should i be recoding in bits, like do each one separatelyand alsoare home made portable vocal booths good or not, whats an alternative option for recording at home?
238[..YouTube..] thanx 4 da video dave, i have a question thu, i have a fair good epieqmunt, macbook pro i7 quad core 8 giga ram, an apogge duet 2 sound card, nt1 rode mic, and krk 5 rokit monitors, but i still find it hard to come with a pro sound, i mean, i hear the songs i make, and hear some track on mtv or youtube, efbbbf lets say tiesto track, i find a big difference, mine is slim and the other track is very fat and full and with higher volume, very punchy, i hope u can make a video about that, thanx
But seriously, I’m 28. Been pnyliag and performing since I was a lot smaller. Grew up in a mining town in the cold north of england. Did music at college and uni, got my degree, been a performing musician in bands and solo ever since. Had the pleasure of stumbling over this site when Joe was just starting up. Went through the 1st Production Club and learned more in those weeks that in 5 years at college! Hung round ever since subscribing to whatever I can afford that Joe promotes. Spent all my money on my home studio which I’ve built up over the last 5 years, spent just shy of a35000 a piece at a time n finally feel I have everything I need to get started recording my new band over the winter, so some one to one skills on how to record would be AMAZING. I owe Joe a lot and if anything I should pay him for his services but that’d be expensive and I can’t afford that AND a ticket to Nashville at the moment help a guy out?a0
